Which Subfloor Projects Are We Suitable For?

With outstanding fluidability and low shrinkage, cement-based self-leveling compound is the mainstream solution for subfloor smoothing under timber flooring, vinyl tiles (PVC / SPC), and ceramic tiles. From residential renovation to industrial workshops, choosing the right compressive strength ensures your floor remains highly durable, with zero dusting and zero cracking.

  • Residential Renovation

Perfect thin-layer leveling for an ultra-flat surface. Prevents floorboards from warping and joint-snapping.

  • Shops & Offices

Fast-drying formula ensures rapid project handover without delaying construction schedules

  • Industrial Workshops & Warehouses

HC35 (41.6MPa) ultra-high strength formula, perfectly designed to withstand frequent forklift and heavy vehicle traffic

  • Damp Weather & Moisture Protection

Cement-based compound offers superior water resistance with zero dusting. Gypsum-based products simply cannot compete.

FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)? Do you offer retail?

Our entire product line is available for wholesale from 15 bags onwards, catering strictly to engineering and project supplies. We do not offer individual bag or loose retail sales. For smaller-scale projects with lower material demands, you are welcome to combine your order with other construction materials for consolidated delivery. Please WhatsApp us for further details and inquiries

How are the flooring costs calculated?

The material cost for self-leveling cement primarily depends on the specific model selected (HC25 / HC30 / HC35) and the total order volume. Standard project estimations are calculated based on the actual subfloor area (sq. ft. / sq. m.) and the specified leveling thickness (mm) to determine the required quantity. Feel free to provide your site floor plans, and we will offer a free material takeoff estimation for you.

What is the delivery coverage and how is the shipping fee calculated?

With our own stock warehouse situated in the New Territories, we offer rapid logistics with on-site delivery in as fast as 1 hour upon ordering. Free delivery across the New Territories and Kowloon is guaranteed for orders of 1 ton (equivalent to 40 bags) or above. Shipping fees for Hong Kong Island, remote areas (e.g., Lantau Island, Tung Chung, outlying islands), or special site conditions (e.g., stair-carrying, restricted access) will be quoted separately. Please WhatsApp us anytime to arrange your delivery.

What is the difference between cement-based and gypsum-based self-leveling compounds?

Cement-based and gypsum-based self-leveling compounds each possess distinct advantages in terms of material composition, cost-effectiveness, and application characteristics, making them suitable for different project scenarios. Cement-based self-leveling compound (such as our TIMANTI series) is primarily formulated with high-alumina cement, Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC), fine silica sand, heavy calcium carbonate (mineral filler), and redispersible polymer powders. Its core advantages lie in its exceptional physical properties, offering high compressive strength (with HC35 reaching up to 41.6MPa based on a 28-day standard curing test), superior wear resistance, and heavy-duty performance. Crucially, it provides absolute water and moisture resistance, performing flawlessly under Hong Kong's humid climate. In terms of application, it is ideal for precise thin-layer underlayments (2-5mm) and cures rapidly, allowing subsequent flooring installation within 24 hours. However, traditional cement-based compounds carry a higher material cost and are prone to hydration shrinkage, which introduces a well-known industry pain point of potential cracking or substrate debonding (hollowness) if substrate preparation is inadequate (TIMANTI mitigates this via a proprietary formula limiting shrinkage to -004%). Conversely, gypsum-based self-leveling compound utilizes α-high strength gypsum or anhydrite as its primary binder, blended with heavy calcium, sand, and additives. Its primary advantages are high cost-effectiveness (relatively lower price) and excellent application convenience. Because gypsum exhibits slight volumetric expansion during curing, it achieves a theoretical "zero-shrinkage" state, resulting in a virtually crack-free finish over expansive areas. Furthermore, it supports a substantial single-application thickness of 10-50mm, making it highly efficient for leveling subfloors with large height deviations while significantly saving labor and material expenses. Nevertheless, its main pain points are low water resistance and lower 28-day compressive strength (typically 15-20MPa). In conditions of extreme humidity, such as Hong Kong's plum rain season, or in the event of a water leak, gypsum can absorb moisture, leading to structural softening, surface dusting, and delamination, which may compromise the durability of overlying timber or vinyl flooring. In summary, for dry indoor areas with tight budget constraints or major floor unevenness, gypsum-based compounds offer superior economic and application efficiency. However, for environments exposed to moisture or requiring heavy-duty load-bearing capacity (such as workshops, parking lots, or premium commercial spaces), cement-based compounds remain the standard choice to ensure long-term structural integrity.
